After a Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting event, CountryHouse welcomed its first residents on September 11. Since then the staff and residents have enjoyed getting to know each other through many fun activities.
Like other CountryHouses, this community was specially designed by dementia-care experts to look and feel like a family home. Featuring round-the-clock, specially trained staff, services include health care, meals, transportation, housekeeping, laundry, and personal care assistance. Daily activities are tailored to individual interests and preferences, with a focus on maximizing the social, physical, intellectual and spiritual well-being of each resident. CountryHouse also offers support services, educational resources, and special events for the spouses and family members of its residents.
According to Agemark COO Marty Hug, “As a native of Council Bluffs, I’m especially excited and proud to offer this much needed service to my home town community. Helping people to age with dignity and caring for them as if they were our own family has been the core belief of our business since the 1980’s.”
